For all the heartbrokens out there, this one(along with my other posts) is for you…
I know it hurts, I’m not sure how much, but I know it does. There are mixed emotions. Sadness, anger, pain, love. You feel all at once. You start looking back at the relationship and trace where it all went wrong. What could you possibly have done to save it?
Sometimes you think you’ve moved on, but then you see his/her picture and the feeling comes back again, like it were never really gone. You’re always back to zero.
You’ll go through all the stages of grief.
Denial. You believe it isn’t over yet. It can still be saved. For days you think there’s still a way to make him/her come back to you. Which leads to
Anger. You start to question why it happened to you. Why did it have to be you? Why did it have to end this way? Where did I go wrong? This isn’t fair. And can often make you feel like
Bargaining. You feel like compromising. You’d do anything, you’d offer anything, just to make him/her stay. You’d be willing to change. But if all of these efforts are ignored. You start to feel
Depression. You’re sad that it’s over. You are hopeless. S/he doesn’t want you anymore. S/he wasn’t convinced of your bargaining. Until you reach the last stage which is
Acceptance. Always. Acceptance is the key. Unless you accept that it’s over, that s/he is not the one for you, you’ll never be able to move on.
I know it’s hard. You may think that you’ll never love again. There’s no one like him/her. But that’s the point of it all. You don’t have to meet someone like him/her. Because you deserve someone who won’t hurt you, someone who won’t leave, someone who’d choose to stay despite all the hardships.
I’ll leave it all to this…
“My heart might be bruised, but it will recover and become capable of seeing the beauty of life once more. It’s happened before, it will happen again, I’m sure. When someone leaves, it’s because someone else is about to arrive—I’ll find love again.”
